Janice Kerbel – Visiting Artist Poster

We fell in love with this idea of an imaginary plan to kidnap visiting artist Kerbel, much like how the artist creates real estate plans of fictional islands. Interested in techniques of mapping, we decided to overlay a floor plan of the hall where the lecture takes place.
The little people icons are an homage to Otl Aicher's 1972 Munich Olympics design and the infamous kidnapping of Israeli athletes. The "CalArts Liberation Army" checklist is pure Patty Hearst.
